MAESA (Maesa Pullman) is a mountain-siren americana folk rocknroll singer-songwriter music-maker/multi-disciplinary creator-performer based in Los Angeles, California. She writes, records, and performs her original music all over Los Angeles and has toured the U.S. and Scandinavia. Maesa independently released single Woah Honey and a six song EP Whippoorwill. Her debut full-length album, Death of the Machine came out on the Electrosound label August of 2020. She often plays with her country-funk family band, the Whole Damn Fam, which includes brothers Jack and Lewis Pullman and cousin Rosa Pullman. She also collaborates with Norwegian producer Hans Petter Gundersen and Norway-based band, The Last Hurrah!! She wrote all lyrics for the latest release, Los Angeles (Runegrammofon) and 2015’s Mudflowers came with liner notes by David Fricke (Rolling Stone). Several of Maesa's original songs can be heard on TV shows such as OWN's Queen Sugar, The Sinner, Wentworth, Catfish, Burn Notice, Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce and others. She has experience composing for films, dance, and theatre. In collaboration with Dalal Bruchmann, Maesa has composed for films such as Indigo Valley, the soundtrack for which was released December 2019 via The Orchard, and Under the Lantern Lit Sky which came out in February 2021 via Cinema Hotel. The composing duo anticipates the release of soundtrack Highway One later this year. Maesa also leads the non-traditional, interdisciplinary community choir, Band of Singers.
